CharityIQ is committed to making our website and product usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Small nonprofits run lean, on every device — accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the widely recognized benchmark for making web content more accessible, and they inform the expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508.
What we do
- Design for keyboard navigation and logical focus order.
- Aim for sufficient color contrast and readable text that scales.
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Use semantic structure and labels so assistive technology can interpret pages.
- Consider accessibility when we add or change features.
Conformance status
We consider the site to be substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA and are working toward full conformance. As a newly launched site, some areas may not yet fully meet every criterion; we fix issues as we find them and welcome reports.
Known limitations
Some third-party content or embedded tools may not be fully accessible, as they are outside our direct control. Where we identify such gaps, we work to provide an accessible alternative or a fix.
Compatibility
CharityIQ is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies, including screen readers. If you use an older setup, some features may behave differently.
Feedback and help
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information in a different format, please tell us — we want to fix it. Email hello@charityiq.us with the page and the problem, and we will respond as quickly as we can, typically within a few business days.
