This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what you may and may not do when using CharityIQ. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses the service.
The principle
CharityIQ exists to help nonprofits win funding, stay compliant, and measure impact — honestly. Use it in ways that are lawful, truthful, and respectful of others. Our brand is built on grounded, cited, verifiable output; do not use the service to deceive.
You must not
- Use CharityIQ for any unlawful purpose or to violate the rights of others.
- Submit content you do not have the right to use, or personal data about others without a lawful basis and any required consent.
- Knowingly submit false, fabricated, or misleading information — including to funders, the IRS, or state regulators — or present unverified AI output as verified fact.
- Use the service to generate content that is fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful.
- Misrepresent your organization’s eligibility, finances, or impact.
- Infringe intellectual property or misappropriate others’ confidential information.
Technical restrictions
- No attempting to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our systems.
- No probing, scanning, or testing security without our written permission.
- No reverse engineering, scraping beyond permitted use, or circumventing usage limits or access controls.
- No introducing malware, or interfering with or overloading the service.
- No reselling or providing the service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
Responsible use of AI
CharityIQ keeps a human in the loop for a reason. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving AI output before you use or submit it. Do not rely on the service as legal, tax, or professional advice, and do not use it to produce content that violates a funder’s rules or any law or regulation.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or take other action, including reporting unlawful activity to the authorities. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent termination without refund.
